November was a good month for us at Makwa IT as we recently celebrated ten years in business. On the 24^th of November 2022, our team members; Lethabo Mokone, Mandla Gqada, Karim Hindawi and Ronny Mogane had the liberty to be part of the AppDynamics Alpha Awards not only that we were part of the Middle East and Africa Champion of the year award nominee, where we celebrated the brightest stars in the Middle East and Africa. Makwa IT is 1 of 2 exclusively selected partners in Africa, competing with other partners in the entire Middle East and Africa. These awards were held in Dubai, one would say from ‘Jozi to Dubai ‘. Although we did not win, we are honoured to be nominated and noticed amongst other partners in Africa.

Our partnership with AppDynamics has enabled us to tackle the management of our client’s growing software portfolios (on premise and cloud). The fusion between previously siloed technology areas such as Network Engineering and Software Development means that IT professionals can no longer be “one trick ponies”. There is an increasing demand for IT professionals to be multi-skilled in infrastructure and application technologies.

Cisco’s Full Stack Observability (FSO), of which AppDynamics is an integral part, provides a platform for Makwa IT to showcase our well-rounded skillset in areas such as application development, infrastructure administration, and network engineering. Our engineers leverage their skills in the following disciplines to help customers realize the benefits of FSO:

• AppDynamics Performance Monitoring and Analysis, Implementation, and Administration
• Cisco Network Engineering and DevNet
• Software development with languages such as Python and JavaScript
